The Villa Unterer Frauenstein, beautifully situated on the lake, was built in 1850/51 in classicist style with a discreetly structured building and restrained facade decoration for Dr. Carl Bossard. The building has been preserved in its original condition, both inside and out.
During the renovation, the sandstone sections were reinforced and slightly modeled. The gently sloping hipped roof was uncovered and thermally insulated. The details were designed in such a way that the delicate proportions of the roof remained intact after completion of the work. In order to preserve the appearance of the equally delicate windows, the existing windows were supplemented with a double layer on the outside. This meant that, in addition to preserving the substance of the building, its interior appearance was also completely retained.
